Drawing from her extensive work as a writer and Pulitzer Prize-winning critic for The New York Times, Salamishah Tillet will discuss how cultural analysis helps communities make meaning of art, media, and history, and how critics can illuminate the emotional and political stakes embedded in contemporary popular culture, among other related topics. Free and open to Penn students, faculty, and staff. Register to attend.
