Drew Weissman, a professor of medicine at the Perelman School of Medicine, delivers the Herman P. Schwan Distinguished Lecture. He will talk about nucleoside-modified mRNA-LNP therapeutics. Weissman’s lab created the technology behind the first two approved COVID-19 vaccines by Pfizer/BioNTech and Moderna and continues to develop other vaccines that induce potent antibody and T cell responses with mRNA–based vaccines.
