The Asian American Studies program and Department of History organizes this symposium to celebrate the centennial of the Immigration Act of 1924 titled "1924: Asian Exclusion and the Making of Immigrant America." The two panels, "Asian American History and the Making of US Citizenship" and "Empire, Racial Formations, and 1920s Immigration Control," will explore the historical events surrounding Asian American inclusion. Registration is recommended as lunch will be provided.
