As part of the Japan Global Issues Series from the Center for East Asian Studies, Merry White, a professor at Boston University, will talk about urban japan, food studies, travel and tourism in Asia, Japanese family, and elderly and social change in Japan. Her previous work includes books on Japanese education, internalization, family and social policy, and social and political functions of urban spaces.
