Jewish Sororities and Acculturation
As part of the “Jews and the University: Antisemitism, Admissions, Academic Freedom” series, hosted by the Katz Center for Advanced Judaic Studies, Shira Kohn of The Dalton School discusses how Jewish sororities on university campuses offered young women a chance to see collegiate life up close while also forcing them to contend with forms of discrimination.
