Penn Libraries celebrates the publication of the first comprehensive biography of Henry Charles Lea, whose library, including the physical space, and papers reside in the Kislak Center. A talk will take place by Richard L. Kagan, author of “The Inquisition’s Inquisitor: Henry Charles Lea of Philadelphia.”

Amitav Ghosh

Jungle Nama

The Center for Experimental Ethnography presents author Amitav Ghosh and singer-songwriter Ali Sethi to the premiere of “Jungle Nama: A Story of the Sundarban,” a tale popular in the villages of the Sundarban. The performance is directed by Brooke O’Harra, a senior lecturer of creative writing. Live performances are on March 2-3 at 7 p.m. at the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts.
