Grace Kao, IBM Professor of Sociology at Yale University, hosts a talk on how Sunmi, a second-generation member of the K-Pop girl group Wonder Girls, develops her own identity despite the suppressions associated with subsuming under the group's identity. Kao will also explore the potential feminist possibilities that K-Pop girl groups can offer.
