The Negro Ensemble Company, as part of their 2022-23 residency, perform the world premiere of “Mecca is Burning,” an original play commissioned by Penn Live Arts and funded by The Sachs Program for Arts Innovation. The play explores social and racial themes through the use of protest poetry.
