The Inquisition's Inquisitor

Penn Libraries celebrates the publication of the first comprehensive biography of Henry Charles Lea, whose library, including the physical space, and papers reside in the Kislak Center. A talk will take place by Richard L. Kagan, author of “The Inquisition’s Inquisitor: Henry Charles Lea of Philadelphia.”

A Meditation on Humans and Machines

Mendelssohn Chorus of Philadelphia (MCP) presents “Beyond the Binary” a new choral cantata by composer Andrea Clearfield, libretto by Ellen Frankel, and newly designed percussion and electronic instruments by David Kontak. As part of this production, MCP is collaborating with students and faculty from the University of Pennsylvania GRASP Lab to showcase working robot prototypes.
