Penn’s Jewish Studies Program and the Herbert D. Katz Center for Advanced Judaic Studies, among others, sponsor a symposium focused on the novel “The Mishnaic Movement: Jewish Law among Jews and Christians in Early Modern Europe,” edited by Piet van Boxel, Kirsten Macfarlane, and Joanna Weinberg. The editors will join as speakers.
