Based on her book “Women Healers,” Susan Brandt, a lecturer in the Department of History at the University of Colorado, Colorado Springs, presents a talk on the history of professional nursing in Philadelphia, highlighting the accomplishments of women nurses that had been ignored by history and how they pertain to the current state of the profession.
