In collaboration with the Philadelphia Chamber Music Society, Penn Museum presents flutist Emi Ferguson and harpist Ashley Jackson for a conversation and musical demonstration, moderated by Assyriologist Paul Delnero. The conversation will explore the role of the flute and harp in Sumerian culture.

Building Better Nutrition Together

The Perelman School of Medicine, the Community Grocer, and the Cobbs Creek community collaborate for this open dialogue about the challenges of improving health by having a healthier diet. The conversation will include results from a nutrition study conducted over the summer. Lunch is provided.

Remembering Refining

The Penn Program in Environmental Humanities hosts a roundtable, "Remembering Refining," featuring environmental artist Amy Balkin, environmental scientist Peter DeCarlo, Grays Ferry community experts Charles Reeves and Tammy Reeves, and New York Times Magazine reporter Linda Villarosa, for a conversation about the immediate aftermath of the Philadelphia refinery explosion in 2019.
