Morris Arboretum presents Summer of Swings, a seasonal exhibit that invites guests to swing on 10 newly installed swings spread across 92 acres of the grounds.

Monthly Wellness Walk

Ben Franklin statue.

Penn HR hosts August’s wellness walk with fellow Penn faculty members and staff. The group will meet at noon by the Ben Franklin Statue and soda tabs will be collected for the Ronald McDonald House’s tab collection program.

Made in the Shade

Trees and a pathway.

Morris Arboretum hosts a guided tour under the shade of champion trees, which provide an overstory that gives an old-fashioned sense of summer. The tour travels along the shaded path of the Oak Allée with a water respite in the middle of the arboretum.

Rising Open Mic

World Cafe Live partners with REC Philly to bring an evening of performers from every genre to step up to the mic. This month's featured artist is Karlia, an indie-soul singer/songwriter from Philadelphia who cultivates a modern R&B sound characterized by emotive lyrics, soft instrumentals, and distinct vocals.
