The 2021 Jay I. Kislak Symposium explores debates about historic records, posing questions like "Who decides? What qualifies? Whose story does it tell?" The keynote speaker is Erin Thompson, author of “Possession: The Curious History of Private Collectors.”

Kristin Brethel-Haurwitz, a social and behavioral science administrator at the National Institutes of Health, delivers the ninth-annual GVR Khodadad Lecture, discussing the neuroscience of altruism, selfishness, and wellbeing. The lecture will also be streamed live on YouTube.
