The Lawrence J. Schoenberg Symposium on Manuscript Studies in the Digital Age is an annual symposium organized by the Schoenberg Institute for Manuscript Studies in partnership with the Free Library of Philadelphia. This year, the symposium considers the networks of exchange, transmission, and translation of natural knowledge evident in manuscript culture in the pre- and early modern periods. The event begins with a reception and keynote address by Elly R. Truitt, an associate professor in the Department of the History and Sociology of Science at Penn.
