Knut Åsdam, Penn’s Mellon Artist in Residence Presents Multi-Part Art Project

“Edgelands,” a program with Knut Åsdam, Mellon Artist in Residence at Penn, features his recent works, a new film and two new site-specific installations. Åsdam will introduce a public artwork at McHarg Plaza just outside of Meyerson Hall on Penn’s campus, 210 South 34th Street at 4 p.m. on Oct. 18. The art will be on display through Nov. 1.

An exhibition of his work at the Slought Foundation, located at 4017 Walnut Street, will open on Friday, Oct. 18 at 6 p.m with a public reception featuring a new film and an architectural installation. A conversation between Åsdam, Silverman and Baker will highlight the opening. A reception will follow. The exhibition will run through Nov. 27 and Thursdays-Saturdays, 1-6 p.m.

Baker and Silverman will join Åsdam in dialogue at a seminar at Slought on Saturday, Oct. 19 at 2 p.m.
