Bill allowing child sex abuse victims’ lawsuits moves to PA Senate

Two days after scores of victims of child sex crimes rallied at the Pennsylvania Capitol calling on the Senate to back a measure to reform the statute of limitations, the Senate Judiciary Committee voted to approve it and advance it for a full floor vote. Penn Law professor Marci Hamilton, founder and CEO of CHILD USA, says victims and survivors were “breathing a sigh of relief,” and urged the Legislature to act immediately to send the bill to the governor’s desk.
