PHILADELPHIA –- To ensure that talented, high-achieving students can chart their educational paths without regard to financial resources, the University of Pennsylvania has launched a new financial-aid initiative to make a Penn education affordable for students from low- and middle-income families.

PHILADELPHIA -- The University of Pennsylvania has selected Dagit*Saylor, a Philadelphia architecture firm, to prepare a feasibility study and schematic drawings for the Arts, Culture and Research Hub, or the ARCH, at the intersection of 36th Street and Locust Walk.

PHILADELPHIA -- The University of Pennsylvania has selected the architectural design firm Weiss/Manfredi along with M+W Zander, an engineering and construction firm that specializes in projects with a scientific focus, to design the Krishna P. Singh Center for Nanotechnology.

PHILADELPHIA -- The University of Pennsylvania has selected Michael Van Valkenburgh Associates as the designer for Penn Park, a 24-acre space for athletics, recreation and open space.

PHILADELPHIA -- The University of Pennsylvania has been selected by the Woodrow Wilson National Fellowship Foundation as one of four sites to host the new Leonore Annenberg/Woodrow Wilson Teaching Fellowship program.

PHILADELPHIA -- The University of Pennsylvania is one of three schools nationwide selected to receive the Presidential Award for General Community Service from the Corporation for National and Community Service. The others are Otterbein College in Ohio and the University of Colorado at Boulder.
