Situated in the northwest part of the city, Penn’s Morris Arboretum has been a gracious public garden and rich resource for amateur and professional botanists since 1933.

Since 1999, the Division of Human Resources (HR) has honored more than 600 notable staff members who exhibit a deep commitment to Penn through its Models of Excellence program.

As soon as an infant cuts that first tooth, proper dental hygiene is a must. Babies who are put to bed with their bottles and toddlers who tote around sippy cups full of sugary juice all day are at risk of developing a condition called early childhood caries.

While the computers of today dwarf their predecessors when it comes to power and speed, the programming process hasn’t fundamentally changed in decades. It’s still a tedious practice of specifying step-by-step instructions, with an equally large effort devoted to ensuring those instructions produce the desired results.   

Pam Grossman has been named dean of the Graduate School of Education at the University of Pennsylvania, effective Jan. 1, 2015. The announcement was made today by Penn President Amy Gutmann and Provost Vincent Price. 

 WHAT:          The 13th Annual Disabilities Symposium, hosted by the Weingarten Learning Resources Center, University of Pennsylvania, will welcome guest speakers Angela Duckworth and Adam Taliaferro.

M. Grace Calhoun has been named director of recreation and intercollegiate athletics at the University of Pennsylvania, effective July 1. The announcement was made today by Provost Vincent Price, who chaired the search committee.

Grace Kunas knows that every second counts in a crisis. Kunas, a junior from Madison, N.J., is chief of the all-volunteer Medical Emergency Response Team at the University of Pennsylvania.  For her it is a chance to fulfill a personal and professional goal to help others.
