It's bloomin' lovely

What are Penn people doing with the home-improvement loans offered as part of the University's expanded community housing incentives? Annenberg School Director of Alumni Relations and Internship Programs Phyllis Kaniss sank her money in the ground - literally. She took advantage of Penn's Home Improvement Loan Program to make the old-fasioned wrought-iron fence (above), construct a backyard garden (below), and do landscaping work at her University City home. Kaniss is one of 42 Penn faculty and staff who have taken out loans under the program so far.
