In a minute

Got a minute? We hope so, because the 60-Second Lecture Series is back, featuring some of Penn’s renowned School of Arts and Sciences faculty discussing topics in English, psychology, political science and history—all in about a minute. All talks start at noon sharp on the plaza at Locust Walk and 37th Street. Stick around afterwards for sweet treats and music from the Looney Tunes. Coming up on April 5, English Professor Suvir Kaul gives the talk, “The Humanities are in Crisis! No, the Humanities are the Crisis!;” Martha Farah, professor of psychology, discusses “The Human Brain 2.0” on April 12; Professor of Political Science Don Kettl wonders, “Is American Government Obsolete? Lessons from Hurricane Katrina” on April 19; and Alan Charles Kors, professor of history, discusses “Human History” on April 26.
