Vocalist Dee Dee Bridgewater performs a tribute to Billie Holiday called “To Billie with Love—A Celebration of Lady Day,” at the Annenberg Center on Thursday, Feb. 11 at  7:30 p.m.

An established jazz musician and Broadway performer, Bridgewater won a Tony Award in 1974 for her role as Glinda the good witch in “The Wiz.” Since then she has played lead roles in “Sophisticated Ladies,” “Cosmopolitan Greetings” and a Paris production of “Cabaret” in which she was the first African-American actress to star as Sally Bowles. Bridgewater also won a Grammy Award for her singing in 1998. The Village Voice has called Bridgewater “the most capable jazz singer of her generation.” She will perform in the Zellerbach Theatre at the Annenberg Center. Tickets range from $20 to $45.
