Husbands & Wives
In her book, “The Husbands and Wives Club: A Year in the Life of a Couples Therapy Group,” journalist Laurie Abraham follows five couples in marriage-counseling led by psychotherapist Judith Coché.
The book grew out of a popular New York Times Magazine article written by Abraham in 2007 titled “Can This Marriage by Saved?” In the magazine story, Abraham followed one troubled couple as they struggled to salvage their marriage. In “The Husbands and Wives Club,” she chronicles the ups and downs of five couples as they work with Coché to reclaim their relationships.
Abraham and Coché will discuss the book, answer questions and share their respective insights into couples therapy at the Penn Bookstore, 3601 Walnut Street, on Tuesday, March 23, from 6:30 to 7:30 p.m. For more information, call 215-898-7595 or visit www.upenn.edu/bookstore.
