If you’re searching for ways to keep your kids entertained this summer, the Morris Arboretum and Penn Museum have got you covered. On Aug. 4 and 11, the Arboretum’s Summer Concert Series features kid-friendly events, sponsored by WXPN. The first, on Aug. 4, features Alex and the Kaleidoscope Band, who perform lively, interactive, world music-infused tunes. The second, on Aug. 11, features Yosi & the Superdads, who will play songs from their award-winning albums, including “Super Kids Rock!” The concerts begin at 6:30 p.m. in the Azalea Meadow. Families can bring picnic baskets and blankets. Arboretum premier level members get free parking; PennCard holders will be charged $10 per carload; cars with no members pay $30.

For eight weeks, the Museum is hosting its Summer Wonder concert series, comprised of performance art, music and interactive demonstrations. Performances include: Daria’s Worldfest, featuring the multicultural musician Daria on June 22; “Chariot of the Sun,” an introduction to ancient Greece, on June 29; Mock Turtle Marionette Theater performing “Tinker Tailor, Puppet Maker,” on July 6; Colonial Music of Pennsylvania featuring David Hildebrand on July 13; the Ugandan dance, song and story performer Eda Nw Kakati on July 20; the Tunisian and Egyptian dance troupe Habiba Dance Ensemble on July 27; Project Capoeira, a dance group dedicated to the Afro-Brazilian art form on Aug. 3; and Piccirillio Scientellers performing “Dragons and Dreams” on Aug. 10. All performances run from 10:30 to 11:30 a.m. Concerts are free with Museum admission.
