Prospective students touring campus, athletes at practice, faculty and students interacting in class and serving in the community, students participating in cultural and arts organizations. Those are just some of the images captured in a special photo project called “A Day in the Life of Penn."
Designed to record a typical day at Penn, the photo project encouraged members of the Penn community to record happenings from sunrise to late night on April 12, documenting the pace and energy of life at Penn through the eyes of the people who live, study, and work at the University. Pictures were snapped not only across campus, but also at the Morris Arboretum, Penn Vet’s New Bolton Center, and around the world. In honor of Valentine's Day, and as a way of fostering community in her Shakespeare in Love course, Becky Friedman took her students to the University Club for lunch one class period. They talked about the movie "Shakespeare in Love," as part of a broader conversation on how Shakespeare's works are adapted.
