Representative-elect

Mary Jo Daley, associate director of budget services in Penn’s Business Services Division, University Laboratory Animal Resources, now has a new job title: representative to District 148 in the Pennsylvania House.
Daley, a Democrat, won the general election on Nov. 6 against Republican Mike Ludwig. She will fill the seat being vacated by Democrat Mike Gerber in a district that includes all of Narberth Borough, part of Lower Merion Township, Conshohocken Borough, and Plymouth, Whitemarsh, Whitpain, and Upper Dublin townships.

According to the King of Prussia Courier, Daley says she was motivated to seek the state office because of a “shortage of women” in Pennsylvania’s legislature, and a desire to work in support of public education.
