WHAT:           27th Annual Women of Color at Penn Awards Luncheon

Women of Color at Penn, WOCAP, will honor three current and one former member of the University community and a Philadelphia community member at the 2014 Women of Color at Penn Awards Luncheon. 

This year’s undergraduate honoree is Melanie Young, a junior in the School of Arts and Sciences. The graduate honoree is Leah Seifu a second year student in the Perelman School of Medicine. Valerie De Cruz, director of the Greenfield Intercultural Center at Penn is the staff honoree. Theresa Shockley, executive director of the Community Education Center is community honoree. The legacy honoree is Winnie Smart-Mapp, a longtime Penn employee, now retired, who was instrumental in the formation of WOCAP.
