Penn Law alum Norman Pearlstine will discuss his book, "Off the Record: The Press, the Government, and the War over Anonymous Sources," which tells the story of the leak of CIA officer Valerie Plame's identity. As an executive at Time Magazine, Pearlstine made the decision to give a federal prosecutor a reporter's notes of a conversation with a confidential source.
Pearlstine will discuss key issues about confidentiality of the press raised in his book, and he will examine legal measures that can be taken to protect journalists.
