As part of Penn’s annual Dr. Martin Luther King Jr. Symposium for Social Change, John Legend will join Camille Z. Charles, director of the Center for Africana Studies and professor of sociology at Penn for a public talk at Irvine Auditorum.      

Legend has drawn attention to global poverty and education. He’s performed numerous benefit concerts and launched the Show Me Campaign, a non-profit organization fighting poverty.

Tickets, which are free and required for entrance, will be available on a first-come, first-served basis at the Annenberg Center for the Performing Arts Box Office, 3680 Walnut Street. Up to four tickets will be available per person.  Box Office hours are Monday - Friday, 10 a.m. - 6 p.m. Tickets will be available the day of the event at Irvine Auditorium when doors open at 5 p.m. For ticket information call 215-898-3900.
