Ibrahim Al-Marashi, a visiting faculty member at Sabanci University in Istanbul, will speak about how political factions in Iraq are using new media to express their languages of power, ideologies and goals. He is an Iraqi-American who has lived in Saudi Arabia, Yemen, Egypt and Morocco.
The Annenberg School for Communication Project for Global Communication Studies is sponsoring the talk.
