WHAT: History Through Deaf Eyes

WHEN: June 3-July 28, 2003

Gallery hours are Tuesday through Friday, 10 a.m.-5 p.m., and Saturday and Sunday, noon-5 p.m.

WHERE: Arthur Ross Gallery, 220 S. 34th St., Philadelphia

This traveling exhibition describes the history of the deaf community through text, photography, archival objects and replicas. In addition, a lecture series will be presented June 14, 21 and 28 and July 5 from 1 to 3 p.m. in the Benjamin Franklin Room of Penns Houston Hall.

History through Deaf Eyes, developed by Gallaudet University, was made possible by a grant from the National Endowment for the Humanities and support from the Motorola Foundation, The John S. and James L. Knight Foundation, SBC Foundation, The Rockefeller Foundation and the Goodrich Foundation.
