WHAT: A recital by a select group of string students from Penn Alexander School, who are showcasing this public elementary school's music program. The students will perform several selections for University of Pennsylvania President Amy Gutmann. A reception will follow.

DETAILS: Now in its sixth year, the Penn Alexander School is a pre-K-8 University-assisted public school in the University City neighborhood of West Philadelphia.
More than 175 of the 500 PAS students play an instrument, sing in the choir or participate in the handbell choir.
