Three University of Pennsylvania sophomores have received John Thouron Prizes to pursue summer studies at Pembroke College, Cambridge University. The Prize is awarded each year to nine undergraduate students from Harvard University, Yale University and Penn. The award covers tuition, room and board and travel to and from the United States for the eight-week summer study program.
The Penn Thouron Prize recipients:
Launched by the family of Sir John Thouron, the scholarship aims to give undergraduate students an understanding of both the shared and differing aspects of British and American cultures.
Second- or third-year students from Penn who are U.S. citizens with outstanding records of scholarship and extracurricular activities are eligible to apply. Additional information about the Thouron Prize is at http://www.upenn.edu/curf/fellowships/fellowships-directory/thouron-summer-prize.
