WHO: Volunteers, sponsored by various Penn student, staff and academic groups, along with representatives of organic clothing manufacturer United By Blue, will remove trash from riverside parks and other waterway areas.
WHEN: Beginning at 1:30 p.m., Sunday, Sept. 19, and continuing daily at various times through Friday, Sept. 24
WHERE: Sunday’s group will leave by bus from 37th and Spruce streets and travel to Neshaminy State Park, along the Delaware River.
DETAILS: Winners will be announced for various accomplishments, including the most interesting piece of trash and most pounds collected, at a reception for all participants at 2 p.m., Friday, Sept. 24.
