Arun Majumdar is director of Advanced Research Projects Agency-Energy, the country’s only agency devoted to transformational energy research and development. Majumdar has researched the science and engineering of energy conversion and has testified before Congress on ways to reduce energy consumption in buildings.
A new round of funding for ARPA-E is providing $130 million to research biofuels, thermal storage, solar power and more.
Fattah will make opening remarks. He is the sponsor of the Clean Energy Act of 2010.
