The U.S.-India Think Tank Summit will be the first and largest meeting of think tanks and policymakers ever held in India with more than 70 participating institutions from throughout the country. The summit is designed to forge closer ties between think tanks in India and in the U.S., Latin America and Europe.
Ministers and other senior government officials from India will give keynote addresses on major policy challenges and opportunities facing India and the role think tanks can play in shaping India's future. Richard Verma, U.S. Ambassador to India, will welcome participants at the opening roundtable session.
Funded by a leadership grant from the State Department, the summit will include regional meetings in Chennai, Bangalore and Mumbai.
