Penn to Host Global Think Tank Innovations Summit
WHO: James McGann, director of the University of Pennsylvania Think Tanks and Civil Societies Program; representatives from more than 40 think tanks from around the world; Richard Dobbs, director, McKinsey Global Institute; David E. Sanger, chief Washington correspondent, The New York Times and senior fellow, Belfer Center for Science and International Affairs; Jim Balsillie, founder and chair, Centre for International Governance Innovation and co-founder of Blackberry; and Jane Harman, president and CEO, Wilson Center, and former member of Congress.

In a climate of ever-evolving technological advances and competition for resources, TTCSP will bring together leaders from more than 40 think tanks for the Think Tank Innovations Summit on Penn’s campus. The summit is intended to serve as a catalyst for ideas, innovation and change in the global community of think tanks.
Highlights of the summit will include a series of panel discussions: “The Think Tank of the Future Is Here Today: New Strategies, Structures and Staffing Patterns,” “Program and Policy Innovations at Think Tanks: Catalysts for Ideas, Innovation and Action” and “Big Ideas, Big Data and Small Tweets: The Technology, the Tensions and Policy Advice.” There will also be a roundtable discussion, "ISIS Innovations: The Dark Side of Innovations and Adaptation."
