Joel Berg, author of “All You Can Eat: Hungry in America,” will visit Penn as part of a national book launch and an effort to rally the nation and U.S political leaders to end hunger in America.
A former Clinton administration official, Berg is a nationally known anti-poverty advocate. He serves as executive director of the New York City Coalition Against Hunger. Berg will talk about the book, which offers a simple, affordable plan to end hunger. Hunger experts from the event’s local co-sponsors will respond.
The book talk and discussion is co-sponsored by the University of Pennsylvania's Fox Leadership Program, Civic House and the Center for Public Health Initiatives; Philabundance; the Food Trust; and the Greater Philadelphia Coalition Against Hunger.
