University of Pennsylvania Law School Class to Attend Supreme Court Hearing on Pennsylvania Redistricting

Penn Law School Professor Nathaniel Persily and 10 students from his "Contemporary Issues in Law and Politics" class will hear arguments for and against the Pennsylvania congressional redistricting plan enacted in January 2002 by the state's Republican-controlled legislature    

One of the major issues the students have been exploring in the class is congressional redistricting.  Students created a simulated redistricting map to give them a better understanding about issues involved in creating congressional districts.
