The University of Pennsylvania’s Library exhibit reflects the history and development of comics such as Superman, The Peanuts and Gasoline Alley. The exhibit explores the five major comic genres of cartoons, comic strips, comic books, graphic novels and animation.
Penn recently acquired 20,000 comic books and 5,000 graphic novels from Penn alum Steve Rothman of Philadelphia.
The exhibit will be on display through March 22.

In honor of Valentine's Day, and as a way of fostering community in her Shakespeare in Love course, Becky Friedman took her students to the University Club for lunch one class period. They talked about the movie "Shakespeare in Love," as part of a broader conversation on how Shakespeare's works are adapted.
