Penn Names Crowther Director Of Corporate Relations
PHILADELPHIA -- Steffen W. Crowther has been named director of corporate relations in the Office of Development and Alumni Relations at the University of Pennsylvania. In this capacity, she will cultivate corporate support, including multi-national prospects, for the University.
Crowther comes to Penn from PNC Bank, N.A., where she was a vice president with senior marketing responsibility for such top communication corporations as Verizon, Alltel, Gannett, Knight Ridder, and Viacom. She has more than 20 years experience at Chase Manhattan Bank, where she built client relationships with international giants General Electric and General Motors, among others.
She serves as a senior trustee and is past board president of the Baldwin School in Bryn Mawr. She is also a former trustee of Denison University.
Crowther holds a master degree in international relations from Fletcher School of Law and Diplomacy at Tufts University and a bachelor of arts summa cum laude from Denison. She also studied at the Institute de hautes etudes internationales in Switzerland on MacJannet Foundation and Rotary fellowships.
She and her husband, Dr. John E. Crowther, live in Bryn Mawr with their two children. Crowther is the daughter of Alla Wright of Broomall and the late Willard M. Wright.
