This month at the Penn Science Cafe, we take a look at the state of the art of brain research and how this field may change our perception of humanity. Can science really explain the nature of consciousness or the soul? What impact will brain-enhancing drugs have on society? Will research on brain-machine connections lead to a future full of cyborgs?
Dr. Farah, director of Penns Center for Cognitive Neuroscience, will tackle issues surrounding the emerging field of neuroethics. Strap on your thinking cap (before they become mandatory), and bring your questions to the Penn Science Cafe.
