Papademetriou, an internationally noted policy expert on immigration, will give the SSPF’s final talk of the fall semester, “Getting Comprehensive Immigration Policy Right.” In the talk, he will outline the benefits of comprehensive immigration reform after decades of policy stagnation.
Papademetriou has published numerous books, articles, monographs, and research reports on migration topics, most recently “Managing Borders in an Increasingly Borderless World” (co-author and co-editor, 2013) and “Immigrants in a Changing Labor Market: Responding to Economic Needs” (co-author and co-editor, 2013.) He also advises senior government and political party officials in more than 20 countries.
The talk is part of the SSPF’s ongoing series, Immigration and Citizenship. Directed by Thomas Sugrue, the SSPF strives to be a hub for the University’s scholarly research on key social, economic, legal and policy problems confronting the United States and the world, fostering cutting edge scholarship across the social sciences.
