David Freidenreich, a teaching fellow in the Center for Advanced Judaic Studies at Penn, will explore the relationship between food restrictions and communal boundaries in the Jewish, Christian and Islamic traditions. He holds a Ph.D. in religion from Columbia University and received his rabbinical ordination from the Jewish Theological Seminary.
