WHAT: ”The Foster Care System: Why Are the Children Hurting?”
The Senate Policy Committee has convened statewide public hearings to gain better insight on the child-welfare system and keeping children safe. This is the third public hearing.

• Anne Marie Ambrose, the new commissioner of the Philadelphia Department of Human Services
• A panel of young adults who aged out of the foster care system when they turned 18 will discuss living on the streets and how they survived
• A foster mother will talk about her problems with caseworkers
• A judge who oversees foster-children cases in Philadelphia
