Performer Laurie Anderson to Visit Penn's Kelly Writers House

The Kelly Writers House at the University of Pennsylvania will host a reading by Laurie `Anderson March 24 at 6:30 p.m. On March 25 at 10 a.m., there will be a brunch at the Writers House followed by a one-hour interview/conversation with Anderson. The March 25 morning program will be webcast live, and recordings of both programs will be available on the Writers House Web site. Participation in both programs, including the webcast, requires a reservation, which can be made by e-mailing Writers House at whfellow@english.upenn.edu.
An avant-garde performance artist with a popular reputation, Anderson has written and performed "Stories from the Nerve Bible," her interpretation of "Moby-Dick," and "United States." She has toured the world with shows ranging from relatively simple spoken-word performances to elaborate multimedia events and exhibits.
The purpose of the Kelly Writers House Fellows Program is enable young writers and writer-critics to have sustained contact with authors of great accomplishment in an informal atmosphere.
