Public Invited as Botswana-UPenn Partnership Members Gather to Reflect on 10 Years
WHAT:
Three sessions of the Botswana-UPenn Partnership’s 10th anniversary celebration are open to the public: a student-perspective forum, a research update and an anniversary symposium. All will be held on the University of Pennsylvania campus.
STUDENT FORUM:
Penn students who have interned in Botswana will participate in “Experience Africa Forum -- Penn Student Perspectives”

RESEARCH UPDATE:
Andrew Steenhoff, BUP research director, will moderate a Botswana research update in which participants will discuss their research aims, collaborators, funding, obstacles and logistical lessons learned.

ANNIVERSARY SYMPOSIUM:
The highlight of the conference, an Anniversary Symposium, will feature a historical overview of the Partnership, followed by program updates on HIV/AIDS, women's health, pediatrics, adult tuberculosis and telemedicine. A closing panel discussion will focus on plans for BUP’s next 10 years.
