The Penn Wharton Public Policy Initiative and the Annenberg School for Communication are pleased to announce their collaboration on a new undertaking: a Public Policy Visiting Fellows program.
Mark A. Patterson, former chief of staff to U.S. Treasury Secretary Jacob Lew, will be the first Public Policy Visiting Fellow under this program; he will visit Penn on March 31 and April 1.
His visit will include a public lecture on March 31 at 4:30 p.m. in Jon M. Huntsman Hall, Room 350, titled “Choosing Civic Engagement: Costs, Benefits, and Strategies for Contributing to the Public Good.” (RSVP here.)
Patterson also will be available for informal one-on-one meetings with Annenberg undergraduate students who are interested in learning about careers in public service. Meetings are available for communication undergraduate students in 15-minute time slots from 10 a.m. to noon on Tuesday, April 1., in Steinberg Hall-Dietrich Hall, Room 3010, and can be scheduled via this link.
Mr. Patterson’s visit to Penn is part of an initiative to introduce government leaders to Penn students interested in government career paths.
