Randall Robinson, founder of the TransAfrica Forum, is best known for his opposition to South African apartheid and his work on behalf of Haitian immigrants and Haitian President Jean-Bertrand Aristide.
Carlos Alfonso Rosero helped formulate Law 70, which requires the Colombian government to guarantee preservation of Columbian Afro-descendants’ ancestral territories, invest in their socioeconomic development and protect their cultural identity and civil rights.
Tukufu Zuberi, director of the Center for Africana Studies at Penn and a host on the PBS series “History Detectives,” will moderate the discussion.
