Sayre Middle School Students Get a Taste of College Life

WHAT:

"Communiversity Day," a day-long campus visit designed to provide area youth from Sayre Middle School an opportunity to experience college life and see first hand the broad spectrum of activities at the University of Pennsylvania.

Activities include visits to classes, admissions, the Van Pelt Library and Penn Athletic facilities.

WHO:

Penn undergraduate hosts from the Black Student League and Black Wharton Undergraduates group will be matched with the Sayre students who will remain with them throughout the day.

They will also be chaperoned by Sayre teachers.

Friday, April 4

9:15 a.m. -- Welcome, Glenn Bryan, director, Office of City and Community Relations, 133 S. 36th St., 5th floor conference room

10 a.m. -- Van Pelt-Dietrich Library tour

10:30 a.m. -- Admissions talk, Tania Castro, director, Multicultural Recruitment Program at Penn, Arch Building

11 a.m. Classes with Penn student host

12:15 p.m. -- Lunch at Kings Court/English College House - 3485 Samson Street

1:30 pm Tour of Pottruck Health & Fitness Center
